Refund Policy
Our Promise to You
Jeeves was founded in London in 1969, and with it the seven-stage cleaning
process that continues to define our work. It is used in Jeeves businesses
across the world, and it remains the distinction between an item merely
cleaned and an item properly cared for. It is entrusted to colleagues whose
average service with us exceeds twenty years — experience not readily replaced,
and the reason we are able to accept pieces that others decline.
Before We Begin
Every item is inspected by hand before any work is undertaken, whether a
garment, a handbag or a piece of home furnishing. On occasion that inspection
reveals a piece that cannot be restored to a wearable or usable standard
without risk of irreparable damage. In such cases we will not proceed. We
would far sooner return an item precisely as it arrived, with a full refund
of any charge, than return something we could not stand behind. Where an
alternative approach exists, we will explain it and leave the decision with you.
If You Are Not Entirely Satisfied
Please tell us. We shall be glad to re-clean the item without charge, provided
it is returned unworn and unused, in its Jeeves packaging, and within 30 days
of delivery or collection.
Owing to the specialist and individual nature of our work, we are unable to
offer refunds for cleaning already completed. Wherever possible, however, we
will look for a way to put matters right.
If You Believe an Item Has Been Damaged
Please contact us within seven days of receiving it. We would welcome the
opportunity to examine the piece in person, at one of our branches or at our
Excellence Centre. Photographs assist us in understanding your concern, though
a formal assessment cannot be made from photographs alone. For customers
within our London collection area we shall be pleased to arrange a complimentary
collection, and where appropriate we may invite an independent analysis
specialist to establish the cause.
Stain Removal
Stain removal lies at the heart of our seven-stage process, and it is here that
we part company with the rest of the industry. We hold four dry cleaning
solvents of differing strength and twelve spotting chemicals — every option
available to the trade — so that our technicians may tailor their approach to
each individual piece rather than treat everything alike. The gentlest treatment
capable of lifting a particular stain from a particular fabric is always the
one we choose.
The outcome may nonetheless depend upon the nature and age of the stain, the
dye, previous treatments and the construction of the item. Where a stain remains,
we are unable to offer a refund or reduction solely because complete removal
proved impossible. We shall gladly re-clean the piece without charge where our
technicians believe further treatment may assist, provided it is returned
unworn and unused, in its Jeeves packaging and within 30 days.
Occasionally a better result requires treatment beyond the manufacturer's
recommended care instructions. Should this be so, we will explain the risks
and ask you to complete an Acknowledgement of Risk. We will never undertake
higher-risk treatment without your permission.
Alterations, Repairs and Tailoring
Should an alteration not fit as expected, we will review and correct our
original work without charge, provided the item is returned within 30 days
of delivery or collection. The same applies to repairs — please return it
within 30 days and we shall assess it and, where appropriate, put things
right at no further cost.
A Final Word
The pieces entrusted to us are rarely ordinary. They are worn to occasions
that matter, carried for years, or made part of a home — and we never lose
sight of that. If something does not feel right, please speak to us. Our
colleagues will listen, consider the circumstances fairly, and do everything
reasonably possible to find the right solution.
Thank you for placing your confidence in Jeeves. It is a privilege we have
valued since 1969, and one we work to deserve with every item that passes
through our hands.
