Serving Belgravia and Its Celebrated Residents
Today’s Belgravia has its origins in 1825 when the Grosvenor family, owners of the land since 1677, commissioned architect and builder Thomas Cubitt to plan its redevelopment.
With its broad streets and elegant squares Belgravia still retains the atmosphere of the village it once was with its myriad of shops, pubs and mews cottages. It is a delightful place to visit or stay in, shop, eat and drink. Indeed its name has its origins in the French for ‘beautiful grove’.
